As of late there appears to be a lot of mystery as well as intrigue surrounding the imminent emergence of the new 2019 GMC Sierra. Although car magazine speculators, such as Motor Trend are snapping photos of the veiled new pickup along the road, little is known or observed about what the new model will have to offer from the GMC plant. Only the whispers from the plant are offering any insight into the Sierra, and this is what has been heard.
2019 GMC Sierra Concept
That being said, the 2019 GMC Sierra can be gauged at a highway mpg of at least 21 mpg on the highway, 15 mpg city, and a combined average mpg of 17 miles per gallon. The 2019 GMC Sierra, as well as Dodge models has adopted the design features that consumers are already familiar with. These designs come straight from the Ford factories, specifically the F-150. The front grill has been modeled after the Ford, as well as the slightly rectangular side mirrors and side skirt trimming. It has been noted that camoflauge design is becoming less dominant, but as to what is replacing it is not known.
2019 GMC Sierra Engine
According to rumors, the new GMC will adopt a new small engine block at 4.3L and use six valves, while a middle and top level block will be available at 5.3L and 6.2. Both blocks will employ the eight valve design. Talk has also mentioned that the overall engine placement design will be changed to accomodate for powertrain improvements. As for fuel economy and efficiency, GMC is foreshadowing further improvements on its already fuel-efficient 2019 Sierra, which utilizes a 6.2L 8 valve that can shut off half of its valves to conserve fuel injection while employing an eight-speed transmission powertrain system that increases torque efficiency and provides for less thrust to climb across the tachometer.
2019 GMC Sierra Release Date and Price
Although nobody knows for sure, or can say with any level of certainty, the 2019 GMC Sierra is expected to arrive on the market by the end of 2018, or at the latest, early 2019. It has been speculated that if the Sierra is released too late, then it will list as a 2019 on the market. The big question is how many digits are going to be on the price tag. That mainly depends on model choice, whether stock or other, etc. However, it is expected that the 2019 GMC Sierra will list somewhere around 28,000-50,000, as an all-encompassing range. We won’t know for sure until it lists, but the good news is that won’t be much further down the road from here.
